Privacy Policy

Your data deserves clarity.

Effective date: April 15, 2026. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it across ClarityBegins products and pages.

1. Who We Are

ClarityBegins provides career direction tools and mentorship experiences for students, mentors, schools, and families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use our website and services.

2. Data We Collect

Contact and profile details: name, email address, phone number, education or professional context, and any information you choose to submit through forms.

Survey and assessment data: responses you provide in student surveys and career-direction flows, including derived profile outputs shown to you.

Application and partnership details: information submitted through student, mentor, school, and contact forms.

Basic technical interaction data stored in your browser: local/session storage entries used for saved progress and product UI behavior (for example, assessment progress and modal-display controls).

3. How We Collect Data

Directly from you when you fill forms, request demos, join waitlists, or use career-direction tools.

From browser-side interactions needed to run the product experience (for example, remembering your in-progress assessment).

From third-party tools you choose to use via our links or workflows, such as scheduling and communication platforms.

4. Why We Use Data

To provide and improve ClarityBegins services, including assessment experiences, mentorship matching, and school-partnership workflows.

To contact you about your request, application, session, partnership inquiry, or relevant service updates.

To operate and maintain quality, security, reliability, and fraud-prevention controls.

To generate aggregated, non-identifying insights that help improve programme quality and outcomes.

5. Legal Basis (including India DPDP context)

We process personal data primarily on the basis of your consent, and where needed to perform requested services or legitimate operational purposes.

Where applicable, we align handling with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and similar privacy principles: purpose limitation, data minimization, and secure handling.

6. Third-Party Processors and Tools

We use external service providers to deliver parts of our workflow. Depending on the service used, this may include: Google Workspace tools (such as Google Sheets / Apps Script), Calendly, Google Meet, Fireflies, email providers, and WhatsApp Business APIs for inquiry handling where enabled.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We only share the minimum information needed to deliver the requested workflow.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share data with service providers acting on our behalf, when required to deliver requested services.

We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.

For school contexts, individual student-level information is shared only as described in programme terms and consent flows.

8. Children and Student Data

Because many users are students, we design workflows to limit unnecessary data collection.

Where school programmes are involved, we expect schools and guardians to follow applicable consent and safeguarding requirements.

If you believe a minor's data was submitted improperly, contact us and we will review and take appropriate action.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, legal obligations, dispute handling, and operational continuity.

Retention windows may differ by submission type (for example, contact inquiries vs. programme records).

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal data.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure; if we identify a material risk, we will act promptly and, where required, notify affected parties.

11. International Transfers

ClarityBegins is remote-first and may use providers that process data in multiple countries. By using the service, you understand that data may be processed outside your location, subject to applicable safeguards.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to applicable law.

You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.

This policy is an operational summary of current website workflows and is not legal advice.
